As a reward, the Sun blesses the poor man’s house. Suddenly, the poor man's simple bread begins to smell sweeter than any feast, and his table is never empty. Conversely, the Sun summons his sister, the Whirlwind (Vihrushka) , to devastate the rich man's lands. A storm destroys the rich man's crops and fruit trees, leaving him with nothing but his cold, inedible gold.
